Went to the shop earlier, got in car and I thought Efes had had an accident. Was just wind. It was disgusting, I gagged. (I have a queasy stomach at the best of times )

charcoal flavoured dog biscuits or chews don't stop the wind however

will make it smell less offensive. (at least that's what it states on the packet)

Sorry have no idea who stocks them.

Lilli, taking him back for his last injection in the morning (rabies I think). Pertev has ordered me some poison antidote to keep at home just in case.

Deputy, only tried him with a beer. I don't like champagne so I don't buy it. ;-) He likes Efes. Before people have a grumble I only ever give him about a tablespoons worth.

Mike - take my advice and stop giving him Efes. It has a terrible effect on Paul, but he does weigh over 14 stones, so, on my calculations, a tablespoon's worth on a dog is about the equivalent of about 8 pints

The wind will a result of his diet... change it to one that does not produce gas. What do you feed Efes now?

Never feed him from your own table... food for humans is known to cause wind.

I have a bull mastiff that drops one frequently. I think it could be the dry biscuits we feed her. I used to cook pasta and vegetables for my dogs, but too hot to do that in the summer. The other two dogs are smaller, and I don't notice it too much, but she is 65 kgms!

I'm the proud owner of 4 gundogs and gundogs being what they are have some of the most disgusting digestion problems known to man including the wide reaching SBD's (Silent But Deadlies for those not in the know) the only thing I have foiund that helps slightly contain them are charcoal tablets - available from most chemists and cheap as chips. 1 in with their meal usually helps.

lol Groucho msg19.

He has dry food, the occasional chew and the occasional bone.

He's only let rip (that I've noticed) a couple of times since we've had him. Most notably in the car yesterday. With it being a confined space it was obviously a lot worse than normal.

Msg 17, I'll try the charcoal tablets.

Hi Mike, slightly off topic....but you said you were going back for another shot...perhaps rabies....i'm curious as i was under the impression, these shots were only given if you were planning to take the animal out of the country, as it has to be ordered in etc. I wanted my own dogs to have this shot, but was advised to start the treatment 6 months before i was to leave, as i'm not going yet, they've not had it....are you sure this last shot was for rabies, i would be most grateful to know. thanks
