Residency renewal time limit too early?

Hi, We are approaching the time for our residency renewal and starting the first stage with the Muhtar letter.But wonder if there is a time limit on doing it too early. The date in our pink card is 2/Nov but passport residency stamp is 18th Nov.

I was told between 14 and 28 last week is ideal because my wife only had 12 left however in certain circumstances like going home and will not be back in time they might accept it earlier

It's 30 days before the date in your passport

The 2 dates are probably based on when you give your paperwork in at the police station thats the date in the pink book then the second date in the passport is from Lefkosa immigration. Its the passport one that counts as the pink book is only to confirm your address.
