Dutch. In response to your post at Message 7......John Terry has been appointed as Captain of the England Football Team.

Personally I don't think it was a good choice. He's not a role model for youngsters and I think Ferdinand would have been a better choice. Only my opinion.

Hardly a new Captain, McLaren used him as well. As for showing humility, I suppose he has grown up a lot since the Jody Morris incident and all credit to him.

I'm confused here!

I thought Kevin Pietersen was the new English Captain.

At least he led us to a world Championship.

I think it has already been said before but same old same old

Its not the captain thats the problem its the fact that this bunch of players are simply not as good as thier pay packet suggests.

Who cares?

And I'm fed up of my frineds and neighbours phoning me whenever he's on television saying 'You're on telly' and 'you're exact doubles'.... when he's on telly its creepy watching him because we could be identical twins. I've been mobbed four times in the streets (once outside a nightclub by photographers!) by people thinking I was him.

I am sure I could take legal action for impersonation........

RE msg 18 : (...) Its not the captain thats the problem (...)

Spot on! The UK does not have enough good players to make a national team. When I hear the line-up of a club team (in England) I need an atlas to find out where they're from and Google must tell me how to pronounce their names. (You Brits have more excellent Dutch players in your competition than we have in our Dutch national team. And yes: "We" only lost from Ruissia in the EC 2008 because the bloody Russians hired the 'Dutch traitor coach' Guus Hiddink etc. "I am told" the UK (English) players had a training holiday in Barbados - that right?!!).
