Hi all, whilst looking for something else, I saw cyprus 44 and read some of the postings, so for the benefit of those asking various questions about British TV on PC, I can tell you how to do this very successfully, I have all info written and will send by email to whoever would like it, but this does not include Sky TV, it does, however give access to all BBC-ITV-CH4-EUROSPORT, AND ALL PLAYERS, so simply email me for details, if you can't see my address here it is, and hopefully it will be retained in this message, .

Regards.

Keith.

Re other post you have put on - please explain, details etc. or is there a hidden agenda?

Free?, illegal? surely as stated before and on other post, just give the details!

Simples!

Hi Kaybezy and anyone else who might be able to advise. I used to download programmes to my PC from the web but I'm now with a different e-mail provider and on a different contract. Because I use my PC for work and I'm limited to the GB I can download I've avoided any TV for the past few months. I'm missing my favourite progs! I just wanted to know if there's a way to watch TV through my PC from the internet without it being counted as part of my download allowance?

Thanks.

If CY based ISPs.. HIGHLY unlikely :( .. some UK ISPs will now let you download 'unlimited' amounts ...BT throttle if it's 80-100 Gigs or more - SKY say that ( within reason) they are truly unlimited

Pippie, I know it is only useful if you are willing to change your subscriber but I download lots and lots with my nethouse package and up till now there has never been an issue with the quantity.

re msg 1

I don't understand WHY we had to email you for the info for solutions that have been posted here before, AND some opinions that demonstrate you may not have tested all the options in ideal conditions

Your comments re sling box are a case in point... some folks have quite good upload speeds on ADSL in the UK, now and even sharing a connection with family / friends back home CAN allow quite effective results... largely better than streaming via a VPN in 'TRNC' - where the downspeed is normally poor... :(

VPNs work better where downlink speed is better than 'here'..

Have you tried the internet in 'TRNC' ? ;)
