We have just been for lunch at The House & Garden Restaurant Girne to discover that it was quite a let down, the price's for drinks are shocking, the menu discription is way off, be adivsed don't order the Frankfurter it is without doubt an awful dish, totally dry bread uncooked chips, and a frozen sausage fried, not at all what was discribed on the menu, dare not complain either as your observation will fall on deaf ears, the chef thought his creation ( mutation ) was perfect, we beg to differ.

We have family arriving tonight, and you might just have saved us a lot of money.

Was planning to go for lunch sometime week.Does anyone know what the evening food is like.

Make up your own mind, if you didn't go to a restaurant because of one bad revue on this site, you would starve.

My friend and I went last week for lunch and it was excellent plus the place was full!

I was there for an evening meal last week and the presentation of the food was first class but in my opinion the quality nowhere near as good as Efendi's. Lovely setting though and will definitely go back for either breakfast or lunch the next time.

What a beautiful building and a big thank you for restoring it to its former glory - a must visit for anyone visiting Girne and wanting ideas to furnish their own property.



On the food front, found the food OK similar prices to Efendis but not as good (my opinion)

Drinks other than cocktails a little pricey but someone has got to pay for the decor. Would I go again - yes its such a classy place that deserves a visit.
