Just wondering why the cyprus 44 facebook is so out of date, is there a reason for this?? January seems to be the last entry......

The January postings corresponded with a three week period when C44 was down after a prolonged attack following the announcement of the Orams judgement. However, I do not understand why it is not being used now.

HI I have not joined 44 facebook but I think you will find that its up to you members to write on the wall a little something, sometimes then others will from time to time, not sure if anyone MANS it like we would our own, I may well be wrong ! Whoever set it up should but maybe they are busy or not interested in facebook so to post a wee bit from time to time would remind others that its still there reciving their posts but not responding, he,he, ) Oh dear we have a dead facebook, dont let it RIP )

The problem is, Spider, it is not possible to post on the wall. The page does not seem to be working at all, but it is still accessible.

I think you will find that the Cyprus44 Facebook site was set up to inform members of any problems with the 44 forum.

In my experience people who are members of 44 find it difficult to even contemplate any other internet based system that might be available to them.

I do understand it because there is a great deal of information available to users on C44 and the ability to ask a broad spectrum of people with knowledge to find possible answers to any other topics within the forum.

There are alot of other web based ideas out there but IMO the majority are comfortable with C44 ad this is a sad loss to both the users and the other available services.

I know from experience that I am not going to spend lots of time and effort into creating something that will not be utilised and the facebook C44 page is another example of that.

Not sure I would agree, AJ. The intention stated on the Facebook page is:



'Facebook group for all Cyprus44 members who wish to get to know each other a little bit more'.



First posting was October 29th 2009 .... was that before any problems, or in anticipation of what was going to happen in January 2010?



I, personally, like the sentiment expressed in the purpose of the group and would have continued to use the Facebook page if it was still operating.
