Can you recommend a good car hire company?



I want to pay as little as possible - my requirements are simple.



* cheap daily rate

* ability to take possession of / drop off at Ercan airport.

* good mechanical order

* minimum "hassle"

Try http://www.birdrentacar.com everything they do is a pleasure not a chore, I would highly recommend them, we have used them for the past 5 years.

Pacific are absolutely the best for me.... nothing a problem - not even when you are stuck out in the middle of nowhere (Arkdeniz beach, other side of Camlibel), an couple of hours from Girne, having been very gallant and towed someone else who was buried in the sand to find that when you get in the car to go home, you have broken the anti-roll bar. As soon as I phoned them they were on their way. Picked us up and took us home and even stopped at a supermarket enroute for us to buy provisions. A new car was brought to us the very next morning. We were not even charged for the damage even though we should not have used the vehicle in this way. I recommend you give them a try and they are always happy to do a deal.

Pacific are probably the best all round but not always the cheapest. You would be best advised to check out a number on the internet and take your pick. I found Green car rental to be very cheap for the low end cars but the quality is a little hit and miss.

Ask for Sue, she will give you a good deal. Tell her that Roy Harrison sent you to them. that way I might get it cheaper next time. You know how it works. Its called back scratching.

It is down to personal preferences and personal views as to who you use and why.



To me Baspinar Cars in Karakum are THE BEST!

Friends use Bird Cars and they rate them very highly too.



Can't see why twaddle thinks "Pacific are probably the best all round." Again his pesonal thought I guess, but to me Baspinar remain the BEST.

Bellapais rent a car, may not be the cheapest, but all theirinsurances are fully comp, they are polite, reliable and English speaking office staff. Their cars are very well maintained and reliable, any problems they are out to help straight away. tel 0392 815 7510.

What are your requirements regarding the make of car or size and the amount of days it will be required for, as these all obviously are needed to give a quote.

Its easy to say you can get a car for £13 per day as already mentioned on here, but what is it a 1985 renault 9 or a porche 911.........!!!!!!!!
