Not a great time of year to drive through those countries, but you can always give it a go.

Hi jenny278

a lot of people drive to Turkey via Bulgaria if you go into Kusadasi.biz, and type in travel by car to Turkey, you will get a lot of posts on that subject, I hated Bulgaria well Sofia I found to be a terrible dirty city, didn't like it, but Burgas on the coast was nice, but it's a long journey, and you are driving on the right hand side, with crazy Turkish drivers.

did it late november in 05, Turkey was a nightmare with snow and ice and temperatures -12. Stuck in Tasusu for 5 days, too rough for ferrys to sail (you know the ones from the Gallipoli landings) probably harder for me as was pulling large trailer, I would say if you have a choice, DONT DO IT,,,,,,,,,,,,regards Tom

We drove back to the UK early December via Turkey, Greece, Italy and France. There was some snow and ice in Turkey (Konya) a little in the Greek mountains but lots of heavy snow in Italy. As you may be travelling further north expect harsher weather, especially on your return in January. Snow chains are compulsory in most European countries. http://www.theaa.com/motoring_advice/overseas/compulsory_equipment.html

Hope this helps.
