Is it just me? It's taking an age to load anything from the web tonight. Yahoo eventually says 'cannot load the message'. No one can hear me on Skype. I can't search in Google. It took me 15 minutes to load a 'post new topic' page in Cyprus44. I can't do anything else on this blasted machine tonight so that's the only reason I'm persevering with getting to this page so that I can vent some frustration!!

Ditto. Did defrag, vacuumed fan, uninstall unwanted programs after the computer kept on freezing and closing automatically and sometimes after reboot a message to say unwanted program trying to gain access and close down again. All very annoying!

Still having problems. It's not a computer problem, it seems to be an internet access problem. Don't know if it's particular to Telsim or if it's a country wide problem, perhaps one of the routers is down.

At least I can still send text messages overseas by mobile, we're not completely cut off from the rest of the world just yet. Still no Skype, will have to try tomorrow night instead. Have had enough now, I'm going off to sulk in a quiet corner somewhere instead!!

Am most interested in this - currently in the UK one of the better know SP's (the one I use so had better watch what I write) has been creating difficulties for many people. Slow to access everything - then one phones the help line (at huge cost to the consumer I might add - which gives added profit to the SP if one also rents the landline from them) only to be told that there are 'international' difficulties 'due to the excess amount of traffic' at this time! This might not help anyone in NC but at least it will let you all know you are not alone!

Damchi.. As you are in the UK.. if you KNOW you are correct - post and be damned.. !

If you are with SKY / BT the calls to the help-desks are free to call, from their respective lines ...So I wonder who you are alluding to ...?

I have friends in the 'rump' RoC who have been complaining of poor connectivity to UK stuff - and they route a different way than folks in 'TRNC' - but local stuff loads fine...

The connections I saw yesterday - in 'TRNC' - was largely AWFUL...

I am not with either BT or SKY - but one of the other large organisations who do not Listen/Listen when you talk.

try:

Might give you a better idea of the QUALITY of your connection, rather than 'speed'
