Guido's older brother Pietro has arrived in Northern Cyprus to open the first real Italian pizzeria in the Northern part of the island! It must be the start of a whole chain of pizzeria's in TRNC following the success in Italy, where Pietro owns more than 16.000 pizzeria's. Pietro Spina has chosen a shop next to Guido's Bistro to build up his TRNC empire. Good luck, Pietro!

Again, Bill, we write 16.000 (sixteen thousand) on the European continent. The way a couple of Brits keep writing figures and driving on the wrong side of a road is absolutely obsolete...

You suggested - I know you - that he had only 16 pizzeria's in Italy. Ha! That's five years ago. It's now 16.000 (sixteen thousand)! Pure jealousy. I didn't expect that from you, Bill.

It's such a pity that I don't eat pizza. So will be heading to the little brother's restaurant.

Hans. I simply asked the question - "Hans, do you mean he has 16,000 or 16?"

How does that make me jealous?

I don't think it's jealousy, 16000 pizzerias is just a rather massive number for anyone to own. I certainly wondered if it was a typo. I look forward to trying out the new pizzeria. We've needed more good pizza restaurants around.

I just got a phone call from Pietro, Guido's older brother, and I have to apologise for a typo in message 1: Pietro owns more than 160.000 (160,000 for Bill) pizzeria's in Italy. Sorry, I should have checked it on the Internet. I hope my typo won't harm Pietro's plans in TRNC.

Hans, I thought this was amusing when you first posted it, but it got better when other posters who worked out it was a practical joke went along with it and then others were sucked in "Hook Line & Sinker" and it just got better.

Well done.

Bill you were told by the "Gordon Ramsey of East Anglia" not to mention the pate, he said you can't "******* well have anymore you *******"!

RE msg 76, Suffolk: (...) Where is Guido's and/or Pietro's - directions please? (...)

Guido's Bistro is here, Suffolk: http://www.allcrusades.com/BB_pics/LO_Guidos_visitekaartje.jpg

(Pietro's Pizzeria will open when "the bypass" is ready once again, "the cable car from Kyrenia to St Hilarion" is ready to operate and "the Disney Wonderland in or near Güzelyurt" fairy tale has been proven to be just that...).

A 24 inch thick crusty Pizza for PollyMarples I think Piettro. Should be enough room to smuggle in a file and a laptop.
