Any news on the marina!!!!!

It's now been just over three years since we purchased our second home in TRNC - Any news on the marina in or around kucuk eronkoy -



A new restaurant is being built on the main coast road - any news about that.





Sorry don't want to rustle any feathers - but am genuinely interested.

the story is the developers had withdrawn after the credit crunch but i think theres still a glimmer of hope that it may come off in the future .. id cross your fingers but holding your breath may prove dangerous xx

Just returned from TRNC after spending a lovely 2 weeks there. I asked about the marina whilst there and nobody had heard anything but I was told that an Isreali was going to develop the small Esentepe local harbour, which I can see from my living room window. Like the marina this could take some time but I do think if we wait long enough and be patient, when the world economy recovers things will begin to happen.

If nothing happens, then I think the TRNC will only have themselves to blame for the decline in tourists.

A new restaurant was nearing completion next to the the Olive Grove site.

These are the co-ordinates of the Karpaz Gate Marina which is on the north coast next to Malibu Beach

N35 33.5’ E34 13.6’ feed these into Google Earth to find it.

The Port cyprium Marina has had planning permission etc. for over 3 years, however it's owner Altan Huseyin just doesn't have the money needed to build it and has spent the last 2 years trying to find Investors. Not an easy task in the current economic climate, but should he find a suitable investor(s) then there's no reason why it won't go ahead.



Personally i think it WILL happen - just not sure if it will be in 6 months or 6 years!!!
