Hi All good morning

I have my garden covered in small stones plus membrane, with trees and shrubs dotted all around.

Will these type of garden vacs. suck up leaves without sucking in the stones?

If yes any idea where they are sold.

thanks

Doug

Dougscud, the vacuum should pick up all the leaves without the stones provided you do not push it through the stones down to the membrane. In awkward areas such as base of bushes it is sometimes best to "blow" the leaves out into a pile then, swich to "suction" to lift the pile of leaves. Best results when leaves dry so choose your times between rain and garden watering. Remember to replace the bag after regular emptying or you might, as this idiot did, swich it on and get a blast of leaves and thorns up the bracket of your shorts !

I have an 1,800 watt Ryobi, sucks up all the leaves no problem after I blow them into a corner.

My neighbour has a more powerful one (2,400w) that does also pick up a lot of stones.

But, it does of course depend how close to the stones you get.

Choose carefully.
