Does anyone know a 'man with a van' that does removals from the North to the South ? Move would be from Girne area to Larnaca area.

Also, has anyone done a land move from North to South - were any problems experienced ?

Thanks in advance

Paul

Paul,

Christine on the TRNC villa owners site made the move a few years ago perhaps someone on here will put you in touch with her. Sorry I can't be more help than that.

I brought my stuff in by land from South to North with little or no problem so would hope that the same would apply in reverse. We will see.

IF you are an EU citizen, I'm QUITE sure you won't have too much trouble with 'rump' RoC officialdom, if you can prove most of it came from the EU in the first place. Cross at the SBA crossings !!!

There's plenty of 'GCs' with lorries / vans who'd happily move your stuff - even if only from the crossing points

I have a man in Limassol - 'Jimis' ( Demitrios ) moves the big dishes and moved me three times..

For sure he can meet you at the crossing point and would be happy to bring the stuff all the way - but he honestly doesn't know if he's allowed to ..

We made the move from North to South in September this year. All we had to do was write a letter stating what we were bringing over with us, and why we were moving there.

We actually went and asked them at the border what we should do this is what they told us.

And when it was our moving day we gave them our letter at the border they looked at our passports and we had a van with all our belongings they looked in one box and said that was fine and we went through.

We had no problems what so ever they were very helpful. I would suggest that you go and speak to them at the border first as things change very quickly but they were very helpful in explaining what you need to do.

We came over the Pyla crossing. The North side spoke to our driver and he explained what we were doing they just checked our passports. The South side just looked in the box then let us through.
