We had an adopted son, Andrew, who died from muscular dystrophy aged nearly 26... we played some of his favourite music at his funeral, including: Don't Worry ... Bob Marley and Savage Garden's Truly, Madly Deeply. He had become very disabled and dependent in his latter years and I had a vision of him reborn looking like Jude Law and being able to stand on the mountain (for those of you who know the lyrics). I would like both of those songs played, along with the more traditional 'Guide me, oh thou Great Jehovah' which is something of a family hymn..... but I am hoping that they do not need to be played for many years!

I actually did my will a little while back and sat and discussed things with my son......what songs i wanted etc....

to walk in - eric clapton - stirway to heaven

contemplation time - luther vandross - always and forever.

for congregation to walk out to - aint no mountain high enough - marvin gaye and tammi tyrell, the more upbeat version, i want everyone to be walking out with a smile on their faces...

i did suggest as a joke diane ross - i'm coming out........
