Very bad news, if what he has said is genuine. Maybe this is just his idea of brinksmanship.

Perhaps, 'trust in fair trading' might have something to do with EU non co-operation!

" the Greek Cypriot thinks the situation to be the same as it was before 1974" Astonishingly huge progress there then!!!! Reminiscent of the peace deals in Northern Ireland, most of which didn't amount to a hill of beans......And to this day are far from 100% satisfactory..

Martin, perhaps if you explained the ramifications of the subject it would raise the profile?

I am not that bright and would appreciate it if you put the subject into a simple English.

Thanks

As a taster for others, these were your thoughts earlier in the year.

as an outsider and reading the posts on here there will never be a solution.Too many years gone by and too many uninformed views , how many people posting here were around in 63/64..... not me ..not many more from 74... way too much hostility for no sensible reason

In all honesty gents, whilst the subject matter is very interesting I am afraid like, I believe, many other members that supposition (towards the end result of a situation that is at its latest form 36 years in the making) by a group of expats is not what I would call a worthwhile debate.

Whilst it may give several different accounts of the individuals uderstanding of the situation, I ca't help but feel people are only posting their opinions to either irritate others or get some agreements to their own beliefs.

Unfortunately the forum gets more posts about silly issues because IMHO there is less chance of dispute when something is not taken seriously.

I am by my nature a strong willed person and as such have gotten way over involved on the forum when trying to get my opinion across to my own detriment I feel at times and as I mention above, discussing what might be in the future when realy we have no idea is just fanning flames in my belief.

To be fair, post 16 could equally refer to posts 14 or 15...You decide!

We all have different priorities in our lives, and make use of this forum in varying ways. Our concerns may not be casserole recipes, but who is to say that they actually represent a more valid or "higher-level" use of the forum? Each to their own!
