Admin; Closing out of sold items

Dear Admin,



Is there anyway to delete or close out all 'sold' items as its seems to be a big time wasting exercise on here when you contact someone only to find the item is now sold and it has not been amended on the forum thread.



Sorry to moan but it would be a really helpful tool.

Hi whataview , i hear what you are saying , in a perfect world one would hope the vendor would have the courtesy of informing the forum that an item has been sold . Sorry cant see admin being able to do anything about it as they wouldn't know whether the item has been sold or not . I will ask Izzet if there is anything that can be done

Simbas, Can the system drop the for sale adds after 16 or 23 days so only recent items stay and if not sold the older ones can be posted again?

just a suggestion, make it an official Rule then when items are sold the admin have to be informed, may help to reduce the amount of sold item posts still remaining on the for sale pages

You are asking for a useful tool to be added to the forum!!! waste of time, get ready for the reply from Izzet if you get any response at all that is, if you do it will be along the lines that it is not tecnhnically possible just like everything else that has been requested to develop and expand the forum.

Proger 1 got it right though have a look at what he has done with the ncbarguide forum and realtime chat.
