Hi everyone. We enrolled our daughter to Dogu Akdeniz Primary School in Famagusta and paid first installment of 900 YTL. Unfortunately our financial circumstances have changed and we are no longer able to afford the school fees. We went and told the school that our daughter will not start it in September because of the above and we asked for our money back only to be told that we will not get anything and it was not first installment but a deposit, which is not refoundable. I would like to ask for an advice wheather we stand any chance of getting at least some of our money back or not?

We had nothing at all from this school. No brochure or information pack from the school, not a letter to our address, nothing. All we had was a receipt from the bank of our payment to them. The school asked my husband to sighn some regestration agrement of which we were not given a copy.

you need to ask for a copy of the registration agreement and read it through ,there may have been a clause where they have said that the deposit was not refundable , however you still might have a case for it to be refunded , see if you can get a copy of the document first . Hope this helps .
