I need to send a laptop back to the UK. It is still in warranty but needs repairing. Has anybody done this before? Should I send it from the North or trek to the south and find a post office? Is there any other way to do this?

Thanks

i have sent many parcels to the uk and to Turkey and they have all arrived with no problem. the problem starts when trying to send from the uk to here. because a laptop is a valuable item you would send it secure post (signed for) from any destination. i would suggest you ask at the main post office in Girne for a price to send your laptop before you go down the expensive route of a carrier. i don't see the benefit of going to the South post office unless you needed it in the uk in a very short time. post to uk from here takes about 7-10 days.

Msg 6

She is right I have had to send some documents over from the UK to My solicter in Gerni it cost me £51 by DHL so a lap top might be even more.

The other problem they had was they required a post code the only way to get over this is to just put zero's in the boxes.

One idea is if any body is going back to the UK they could take it back for you

I am coming out at christmas and would gladly bring it back if that helps

Good Luck

Thanks for the offer Smity. My problem is getting it to the UK before end of december. My daughter will take it to PC World and collect it for me to pick up when we go over in March.

Thanks
