....but...is there anyway to dissolve cement? I have a bunch of tiles i want to re-use, but they have cement on the underside, and it just wont come off. I've tried hitting them with a screw driver, but it seems impossible!! Any ideas or help will be appreciated. Thanks DD

You need a chisel rather than a screwdriver and a hammer, get the chisel on the edge of the cement and tap it with the hammer, should do the trick.

Sam Buy 'Tuz Ruhu' at the supermarket and soak. Beware, it's very strong and you'll need rubber gloves. Richard

Sam Buy two, anything left over put down the loo and it'll come up as new. Close your nose when using. Richard

| Anything with Hyrochloric acid in it, dont know whether Tuz Ruhu has, but it sounds like it with very strong odour, I use it all the time in UK to descale and the stuff I use is 32% mixed with water far stronger than you can buy for domestic use, you could try Yapi Market to see if they have any substance used for brick cleaning, best of luck Daisy, and wear gloves, and use in a well ventillated area.
