I have just found a fantastic, typically authentic Turkish Cypriot Restaurant. The decor is very interesting, the owner is great fun and very helpful, the food was totally fresh and reasonably priced. It is situated near Lapta Medical Centre and is well worth a visit. I have been told that it will be packed this Friday with a party, so I will go again and join the fun!!!!

Teos bar/restaurant is a great place, Teo and his family are very friendly (he is my neighbour). Great fresh typical Cypriot cuisine with a smile.

Unfortunately he has now banned me from taking Efes, our dog (all dogs) even though we would sit outside quite a distance from anyone. Because Efes goes with me everywhere it means I can't go there either :-(

Well done for finding it as the location has been kept secret for a couple of years. So do not tell everyone.

Mind you it may well become popular around March of next year.

AJ, Teo is desperate for business. He's going down the pan because no one can find him. He needs as much publicity etc as possible.

It is on my short list of locations for the above project although I hasten to add negotiations are still pending.

He is hard to find and only small direction signs, he need a big sign by the rose garden ones on main road.Well worth a visit if only for a chat and drink.

fosterscan, I agree. Every time I used to go in he would question me on how to get more people in but he would take no notice ( to the point that I started getting irritated by him asking each time I went in).

To let people know where he is the direction are as follows.

Take the turning for the Rose gardens off the main Lapta-Girne Road. Go to the end and turn right. Follow the road past Bektas. Turn left just after the K-Pet petrol station, take the first left and Teos is about 100yds on the right (Just before a derelict church on the left)

So what. Does that mean I am not allowed to post on it and help to keep it at the top? All I was doing was trying to offer helpful information.

Hippo, I can't quite understand why you appear to be having a dig at me whether it is in jest or not.

Mike, you have misunderstood - I'm responding to your suggestion, Message 15, that "Flopsie" might be a dog, which I might be carrying home from Teo's. Flopsie actually started this thread, and she is definitely not a Dog!!!

My last message should really have read 'Hippo,' at the start. Sorry for any confusion.

Think that it may actually be more of a "BunnyWabbit" thing.

Back to the point of the thread - have only been once, so far, but we all had a great time at Teo's on the night.

HOTHippo, yes I will reiterate that it is a good little place. Friendly people, good food. By the way, new opening time 3pm! Everyone give it a go and encourage our friendly hosts here in KKTC.

Not only is the food good and the drinks at reasonable prices but Teo himself, ( a former police Officer of "Serpico" status - straight as a die) has excellent English as does his charming wife. He's got two fabulous daughters also. I fully recommend the resturant.
