| I hate to say "i told you so" but I have been chuntering on for years that since the two cyprus administrations have contradictory obljectives it was never likely they could acheive a workable agreement likewise, although not everyone will agree on the real reason, turkey and the eu are quite as far apart as they ever were ...despite all the breathless ballyhoo on the subject that has graced these pages without shedding any crocodile tears, I fully accept all this is "most unfortunate" though I have never tried to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear on such issues what amazes me is turkey's patience with their eu "application" but even that has been known to reach its limit, at least in a cyprus context |

| msg 10,andre514; "what amazes me is turkey's patience with their eu "application" " I'm sure they also know what they are doing. It is called 'politics' after all. |
