Might just be me being paranoid (Because Efes has been poisoned twice) but I saw a dubious character putting things down along our lane. I couldn't make out who it was or anything because I was watching via our CCTV and it was pitch black. (I wouldn't have seen them with my own eyes, our cameras are very good)

Well go outside with efes on his lead (so he can protect you) and see what they were putting down? What time was this? Where is your lane? Sorry if I come across as being rude but the title of your post is very misleading "WARNING" ! ...

Thanks Lilli, glad you liked it. If my knee was 100% I would have been straight down the steps to interogate them, (cleaver in each hand and demanding thousands of TL that we have paid pertev)

Tootie, the people who need to know this information know where my lane is. I can't go around and let them know in person at the moment. If poison has been put down there is no way Efes is going out to 'protect me'

Apologies is this sounds harsh, but LaptaMike, are you serious?? If I thought for one second that someone had laid poison down in my road, bad knee or not, I would be out there with a torch , some plastic gloves and a plastic bag picking it up so that no other unsuspecting animal could be killed by it. And as for saying the people who need to know this information know where your lane is, I dont think stray dogs and cats can read so I doubt they will steer clear of your lane just in case.....for goodness sake, dont stick a half hearted warning about poison on here and then do sod all about it.

I have to ask Mike, if you couldn't see who it was or anything then how do you know it was a dubious person, it could have been anyone doing anything, and if it was pitch black then your cameras must be really good. Do you think perhaps you are getting a bit paranoid or else over anxious ?

I am sure anyone with cats or dogs who live near you will be glad of the warning Mike. I would certainly be greatful if someone let me know there was even a slight possibility of poison being laid near my home.

suzi1951, thanks. As regards some of the other posts, I don't know why I bother, I don't need to answer to any of you about why, what or where etc. If a genuine warning about something possibly happening can't be posted without being hijacked then something is seriously wrong.

If it was a geniune warning then why didnt you tell people where it was? Just let us try to guess where in Lapta you live??? And if you were seriously worried that there was poison in your street then why didnt you go outside and check it out? It wouldnt just be your dog at risk of poisoning Mike.

No need to get so touchy Mike, simple enough questions in my opinion. Unless you give at least some idea of where your lane is then how are people going to know to avoid it to protect their dogs from being poisoned, Lapta is a very large area.

I also live in lapta and have 4 dogs, a post regarding poisoning is taken seriously i think by all animal owners. I am a little confused did you actually see if its poison? Has anyone been to look and see what it is presuming you dont live alone down your lane? I take it you have neighbours that you could ask to identify what has been placed on the floor? But if you think its relevant enough to only inform the people you know where this took place, then there really isnt any point in giving a warning because no one is any the wiser. This is a bit like a coulda woulda shoulda posting. but many thanks for this information

Mike, did you go out today and find out what was put down in the lane last night? Please, please do warn your neighbours with dogs when you suspect poison, it could save their animals lives. Not everyone is able read C44 to pick up such urgent information. What did the Police and Belediyesi say when you reported it last time? Have you read the articles in CT by Tom Roache and Brian Delaney and have you been in touch with them??

I made an inspection of the lane today and couldn't actually see anything. Hopefully it was just me being paranoid. I didn't see the report in CT, I know my mum read it though. I don't always get round to reading the paper. With regards to some people wanting to know where we live in Lapta, we are very private people and prefer the whole world not to know where we live. Just a personal preference.

hmm not that private seeing as you post your daily routine on a public forum?????? Not quite so private me thinks. If the lane is so private what was your point in WARNING people? I do not recall anyone asking for your exact address but a mere indication of whereabouts to look out for poison as it could have been on your lane and the surrounding areas i really do not think that your criminal suspect had exclusively targeted your lane unless of course he had also been on cyprus44 and had followed your most boring posts with a passion me id rather stick pins in eyes personally and yet this is just another pointless post of total rubbish. But being a very private person of course i respect your decision to keep it under wraps.

lulubell, you need a life. The post was intended for our neighbours who know my nickname on here and do read the forum. If you don't like my posts then refrain from reading them and posting offensive things about me. Just because I post about the goings on in my life and my dogs life that YOU find so boring it does not mean everyone else does. I post a few bits online about myself but it is different to giving my address out to idiots like you. MODS please close, serving no purpose anymore.

If you need to post exclusively for your neighbours then i dont think you need to post? just tell them over the garden fence makes sense as opposed to posting it on a forum where you are choosing not to tell people whereabouts it took place. It obviously makes sense to you. I have a life hence why i have posted 500 times in 2 years as opposed to over a thousand in a year. Some of us dont have time we have a life. Anyway its irrelavant like i say pointless post as it now appears it was exclusively for your neighbours. So why were you warning the users on a public forum i presume they do not all live down your lane?

thanks Measey. At least everyone doesn't totally hate me and my dog out there ;-) You try to be helpfull and get people having a go. Drags you down. The miserable sods can all bugger off as far as I'm concerned. Their loss, no favours forthcoming off me in the future.

Nobody hates you LaptaMike, its good that you put it up as it has made every one aware that poison is being put down, even if it wasn't in this instance.. Think that every one that takes a dog for a walk will be more alert re your warning.....

Actually I agree completely with Lulubell, sorry Mike, but your first post was just completely pointless. My dog was poisoned outside my gate several years ago. As soon as we got her in to the car on the way to vet, we phoned our neighbour, who checked the whole area to ensure that there was no more poison around, as we were incredibly worried that someone elses beloved pet might be poisoned in the same way. What you did was post a half hearted warning about someone who may or may not have put some poison in your lane, you obviously werent bothered enough to go outside and check out the situation with a torch, and then you got all James Bond on us and wouldnt tell anyone even the approximate area of where you live so that we could be vigilant whilst walking out own pets. And I also find your posts about Efes very dull, I dont really care less if he read the first 10 pages of the dictionary...I have a 14 week old puppy...mmm, might just start a daily blog on her bowel movements!
