TL is unofficially tied to the $US, the £ floats and the € is a total enigma in its strength!

I need to change some £,s to Euros, quite soon.

I believe if i do this in the north, they change my £,s to Lira then Lira to Euros, do i loose by this happening, would i be better changing my £,s in the south, directly into Euros.

Also for any of you that may follow the markets, is there any sort of trend at this time of year, with people spending for Christmas, will the pound weaken against the Euro or not, should i wait or buy now.

Thanks Railroad

Sterling is probably a good currency to hold right now. Its in a multi-year bull market against the US Dollar which should trend higher into mid 2011 . However it could possibly fall back in about feb next year if the BOE decides that this time they will opt for qe2 but should continue its upward movement in April possibly hitting 1.85 in July and correlating to 1.30 in the euro. This should help sterling in the short term against YTL as well. To check out the currency charts log on to http://www.ADVFN.
