Have discovered the rubber pipe that joins a 'nozzle' under the petrol tank had perished at that end and was leaking petrol. Have cut that end off and re-joined it but it still leaks although much less. Is there something I should put on the nozzle that will create a better seal?

Southcoaster. As Richard suggests a clip may be the answer but as belt and braces you may wish to check the turn key on/off valve as well as they have a gasket which can leak and give the impression that the leak is from the pipe. Best of luck with it !

Thanks for the responses. The turn key on/off valve is OK as I have turned it off since the leak. I think it is probably safer to get a replacement rubber pipe and a clip.
