Baspinar in Girne quoted me £22 per day (CDW inc) for an air con Suzuki Vitara and extra drivers at no additional cost.



They are very easy to deal with from the UK as well.



Dont arrive till Monday so cant comment on any other aspects of service!

The cheapest NC car hire I've seen is a company called Dark & Blue: http://www.darknblue.com/

Their rates are really low, between £13 and £35.

They are based in Girne.

I've no idea if they are any good though.

accadia .. had alook on there site and it sounds good,and they even do a reduced trans fer from larnaca if you hire a car from them for over 9 days. I suppose if you pays your money you has to take your chances. Might wait alittle while to see if any one has used them and what their cars are like .

Thanks Maggie and Bernie. Just booked with a-one-rentacar. £20 per day for Vitara. Plus free pick up drop off from Larnaca because over 10 days hire. Just have to pay £10 petrol each way because we are going to Esentepe. Ismail seems really friendly guy. Thanks for recommendation. Leaving Wednesday, so will let you know how it goes. Can't wait for some sunshine!!

always happy with pacific-rent-car...

small suzuki jeep starts at 14 pounds/day

and paid 20 notes for an astra in august

airport meets at ercan and taxis/rental package via larnaca

Have used Cyprus Pines several times now, really happy with the service very friendly, will drop car off at villa no problem. special rates on Larnaca pick up/drop off as well.

check them out online as often discounts are given for online booking. usually you can collect at deliver from ercan.

Bon Voyage! and save me some sunshine - I'll be there Saturday!

The last time we were there in July we arranged to leave the hire car at the hotel and use the free transfer to the airport (provided by Premier Holidays) we were outside the gates all ready at 3.30 am and waited....and waited...no bus! Rang Ismail at A1 to ask if we could take the hire car (which was parked up there) - He got out of bed and came & drove us to the airport himself - otherwise we would have definately missed plane - can't recommend him enough!

Check the small print on your contract.



As far as I am aware none of the so called "cheap companies" offer fully comp insurance so if you have an untoward incident you pick up the full tab. That is why they are cheap



The more expensive companies offer fully comp where by you only pay the excess. In addition the more expensive comp. service their cars.



CAVEAT EMPTOR!!!!!!!! Put the thinking head on and remember what you would do in UK.
