Yet another example of tolerant Islam , what a good job the uk does not treat muslims who offend in the uk the same way.

Asia's case dates back to June 2009 when she was asked to fetch water while out working in the fields. But a group of Muslim women labourers objected, saying that as a non-Muslim, she should not touch the water bowl.



A few days later the women went to a local cleric and alleged that Asia made made derogatory remarks about the Prophet Mohammed. The cleric went to local police, who opened an investigation.

Thats a very in depth story.



Blame the whole thing on Islam - dont think it would happen in TRNC which is believe it or not a country full of muslims.



I do totally agree its wrong but you cant lump everyone together.

It just totally beggars belief, that executing someone for believing something slightly different, in this day and age, is still acceptable in some parts of the world!! I find this sickening and disgraceful! Imagine if every country was to uphold these beliefs...we would all be executed for one stupid reason or another!!

Here we go again, another attack on Islam. By all means attack the towel heads who interpret the religion to oppress their people but Islam itself? They are as representative of Islam as Qureshi was in Wacko or Greek Orthodox priest who organized and anti-enosis man to be tied outside of his church and be stoned to death all in the name of Christianity. If it's lunacy you want the only place you will not find it on is the moon. Irony of all ironies.

Actually, i am not attacking Islam, quite the contrary, i happen the believe that the real message of the Qur'an is of peace and harmony. However these extremists are taking true messages of love and understanding and twisting them to levels that suit their own male chauvinistic attitudes!

This has made me sick to the core, i cant beleive we live in the 21st century and women are still so second class. They can have WMD , maime, kill, provide sucide bombers and kill a woman for speaking her mind. Its too much to bear. I hope and I pray it gets stopped that the world will take notice x
