Turkey's president Mr Abdullah Gul has received this from our queen. This was for contributions to international relations. To co inside with this Jack Straw had been in the press promoting turkey and to speed up the EU. William Haigh on the other hand said he understands the difficulties in Cyprus and will not intervene as it may hamper the talks the week and make it more difficult. If we are to have a divided Cyprus, will both sides have rights as to how the future is shaped. The GCs want the Turkish army out but from what I hear the also want the British, UN and all military out.

I just wish they would get on with it partition or not then we would know where we were. It seems everyone is holding their breath. The big investors are staying away and Bulgari group have pulled out completely from their new venture at Lara beach.

I went to a Grammar school in Ramsgate called "Chatham House ".An "old boy " was Mr.Edward Heath,ex PM.He was Chief Whip when I was a schoolboy..I wonder if there is a connection
