Advertised as fine dining at a fine price. Went there last night and it most certainly is. Crisp white tablecloths, shiny crockery, cutlery and glasses and the food was good too!! No the food was excellent. Starters approx 8-10tl. Main course 18-26tl. Puds 8-10tl. Bottles of wine starting at 15tl. Well worth a visit. It's at the Aqua Park Catalkoy.

Starters - soup, pate, crepes, poached salmon, risotto (I think)

Mains - liver & bacon, steak, chicken with blue cheese and bacon, fish, pie of the day (steak and ale pie yesterday)

Puds - fruit crumble, bread pudding, ice-cream, lemon mousse

Just writing that does not do the food justice at all. For instance the bread and butter pudding was as light as a feather and flavoured with whiskey and a whiskey cream sauce. The poached salmon was topped with sour cream and chives. The steak was full of flavour and very tender and there were various sauces with it. I had brandy and pepper sauce.

Have been a couple of times now and have to say very impressed. The food is excellent and the prices good. Service good too, and music from 60's 70's and 80's in the background and not too loud. All in all a great experience and we will certainly be frequenting it.

mrsgee - agree the veggies were lovely. We had thin strips of courgette deep fried in a thin batter - absolutely delicious and I've never had that before. I hope people will try this place and those who already have will keep on going. It would be such a shame to lose it. The decor is lovely and the music is 50s-80s but not intrusive - you can still talk and hear each other.

rolly,

msg 12

Did you come on Saturday night or Sunday afternoon? The reason I ask is because there are two different menus - one for evenings and one for Sunday lunch.
