Plug it in..and search Astra2 ? 28 degrees East - or even better it will be pre-programmed

Trouble is LOADS of a channels will say " no sat signal is being received "

In MY humble opinion FAR better to buy a SKY box - second hand will do and get a Free sat from SKY card to allow watching of ITV on the 1.8m - you can't get it on a freesat box :(

BTW there is that prog about being conned in the 'rump' ROC on SKY 986 ( BBC west 101 )

It's not REALLY free if you want to see what you want WHEN you want - or have 'they' managed to pirate filmon ? ;)))

Hi, mmmmmm,

Can you use sky plus with the 1.8 dish to record ITV, or do you get it through the services and other channels,

which then makes recording a problem. Thanks

girnegeeza msg:9

recording ITV on a 1.8m dish depends on the geographical region the smart card is registered in UK.

The following regions are available to 1.8m dish, so if these regions are a part of your normal EPG (if you can get one of them on channel 103).....then you can record ITV1.

This applies to both SKY sub cards as well as SKY freesat cards.

ITV 1 Meridian Sussex

ITV 1 Meridian North

ITV 1 Anglia West

ITV 1 Yorkshire East

ITV 1 Tyne Tees South

ITV 1 Central South West

on the subject of ITV....we now can receive ALL ITV channels in Cyprus and all in HD resolution.

Starting from yesterday ITV3 HD & ITV4 HD is also available for a 4.2m dish.

Iceman

Very helpful post

Great news for ITV fans.. but it is a shame that BBC1 HD is on a transponder that cannot be received in CY :(

re msg 6/10

I believe ZC said you should pay filmon, so is it 'hacked' ?! ;)

I tried watching it last night and it broke up, ( BBC News 24) when it was available on iplayer - and working perfectly

Even though I plan to offer TV via the computer it is best via on TV via satellite ...

re 14, Wiaah

Since June members here have been enjoying my Free UK VPN.. do TRY to 'keep up' ;)

re msg 15, ZC

I remember there was time limit with filmon... whereby you had to pay if you continually used it ... has that 'gone' ? Both last night and tonight it was breaking up / unwatchable.. perhaps 'auntie' was playing games in the UK !!
