They have let the newspapers and the TV people off the hook - no need for "real" news for the next few days. God save us from another Royal Wedding.

Here, Here, Mr Vince. Although I can't see it being a day off as he's not heir to the throne. It'll probably end up being a smallish family affair at Windsor Castle, not the pomp and circumstance of Westminster Abbey.

We're delighted that it's official at last. If you think about it, they've been together and unofficially engaged longer than many other actual married couples today! Date yet to be announced but believed to be either Spring or Summer 2011. (Next year would have been Charles & Diana's 30th wedding anniversary!).

Probably announced to deflect attention away from other characters in this Soap Opera known as the royals;- Ann is pumping the ex husband of Camila and is about to ask for another divorce from Nice but Dim Tim Edward has been caught with his pants down with one of the queen's footmen. Pictures have been surpressed Andrew is playing "Hide the Sausage" with the wife of a Premier League footballer. All this and more from your favourite soap

How much will this cost us?????????? Willian comes over as a nice enough bloke; she was a bag of nerves in their one and only interview, which was less sycophantic and weasily than normal - the interviewer was 'normal' and a nice person - Kate is SURE to bitterly regret marrying into this dysfunctional mob

Another parasite for us to look after. Another inclusion in disfunctional Royal Family. Send them to Afganistan, oh sorry they already did but it was to dangerous for them and took more resouces to look after him than it did our own boys. Royal family no thankyou

It doesn't matter about the cost. I think they should increase taxes and give the Royals a pay rise. A million pounds doesn't go anywhere nowadays.

Littlejohn mess11 'Silly buggers are still sobbing about "lady" Di! You can't win. ' Take it then ,you were not one of those phony hysterics who normally couldnt care less about the death in a car accident of a young woman returning from a night in the town but in Di's case , wanted to hang those of us who couldnt have cared less about grieving over her. Remember all those clouds that had her face, and all the potatoes that were found to be in her image. My mother even thought a pancake looked like her. Scary times ! Headline today was 'World rejoices over Royal engagement' Yeah right. What an arrogant race we are! Can just see some Ethiopian villager, just trying to survive ,being uplifted by the news of a couple of privildged kids get married in the UK.
