I have been here 6 years now, never ever apart from my staff bring me food have i experienced what I have tonight. WE have 6 units in our little block now all the apartments are full. Tonight everyone of the people from the apartments all brought food down to use. I feel so humble. I cant describe my feelings. Should I do the same and give them Xmas dinner , Im confused

Zero , we cant even talk to each other , we give good morning and I have taught them that. They have a beautiful baby which I take at any opportunity and they let me.. When they brought the cakes down I cried. My boys tought it was wonderful as I did when they brought me food in which was lovely.I saw so much lamb going up there and that did make me sad after seeing lord n jims photo. I realise this is going on and will go on for many more centuries. What do we do with turkeys. I really fely so humble xxxxx

Liz, I go to my Cypriot friends houses for Bayram, and take money and sweets for the children, and have coffee with them and their traditional Bayram food with the coffee which is like porridge. At Christmas I go to visit them and give the children stockings with presents in, which they love. In fact I was just asking one of my friends if I could have the stockings back(from last year) this morning, explaining that we don't buy new ones each year. I could do this as I knew she still had them in her cupboard. I find the best thing is, just ask what their custom is and explain what ours is, and we all get along fine.

You have been here long enough so you should know what to do without asking on this board.
