Left Malibu villas through yenierenkoy at 5 miles turned north with intentions of hitting tracks along north coast.

navigating is ipad with out of date images downloaded from google earth (big problem), we followed route for further 2 miles which abruptly ended in ploughed field, no alternative but to head NW until we reached a track of some description, 2 hrs and 2 gruelling mountains later we reached coast track. now at 10 mile mark 1 hour behind schedule.

Merrily going along reached 22 miles only to discover no more coastal road, we arrived at the furthest point on the coast of the new road to Karpaz, we initially thought we would go over mountain to avoid but could not without climbing gear tried beach noway decided to go through works with all the trucks and heavy machinery yes they were working, we were stopped by a guy that would not let us through we had to get in his truck and took us throgh to other side shame they wouldnt let us walk and that this coastal track is Gone.

Gary will probably update later with all details but they reached the next stage at Esentempi at about 3.15 and a welcome party was waiting for them, Gary rang me with about a quarter of a mile to go and said he could see everybody at todays finishing line. Gary is not one for showing his emotions but all of the support they have had since this walk began is really hitting home and it showed in his voice and he kept saying that so many of you have been tooting, flashing lights and waving flags out of car windows and this has really helped them get along. I have spent the last 3 days with them and their feet are really suffering!!!!!!!! Your support is tremendous and is giving them the motivation to carry on. Thank you everyone!!!!!!
