Hate to throw water on the Fire....but !!!

My wife and I popped in a couple of weeks ago, and was not very impressed. The Deli counter only had a couple of Sausages and some Pate and looked very bare. A big guy (I take it he is the owner) was wandering around with some builder or something and nobody else around. We took a menu, which looked OK and called the number to make a reservation, and nobody answered the phone !!!! Immediate improvements required are: A far better selection in the Deli Counter AND when you are open always be available to meet and greet.

You are quite right a few weeks ago the deli counter was understocked , when I was last there it was very well stocked last week.

Put a man behind a counter and he will always find an excuse not to stay there !!!!

Get the blonde bird back behind the counter lilli.

For those that are interested in the deli stuff there is a huge blackboard above with all the prices on.

Well, all I can say here is that everytime I've been there I've managed to find plenty to spend money on. Five or six kinds of cheese not to mention the mozarella and the mascaropne, at least 4 types of meat, sundried tomatoes, pates, pestos, even the most beautiful vanilla pods. And the balsamic glaze...on my word!

Weary Travellers, perhaps you arrived just after I had left!

Keep up the good work guys - we love ya x

hi weary travellers, I am sorry to read your comments that you found the deli counter not stocked, I can only assume that the meats and cheeses were upstairs being cut. We always have parma ham, spanish ham and roasted ham, at least 9 different salamis many varieties of cheese including stilton and motzerella, sundreied toms range of balsamic vinegars and of course the german sausages. The opening times are 11am until 3pm and froom 7pm for dinner. I dont know where I was when you visited unless it was outside these hours. Hope that you come back in again and see the range of products. Thank you however for bringing it to my attention. Lilli
