For all you West country posters....dreadful floods in Cornwall last night, according to BBC news extensive damage in the St.Austell and Mevagissey areas, the images are quite disturbing

Currently on vacation for a week in the west country UK. Terrible storms and gale force winds last night and early this morning but by mid-day the weather had improved. Was bright and sunny in the afternoon until sunset.

Further flood warnings due to high-tide.

That's very sad to hear. Unfortunately, I can empathise with that having just experienced Hurricane Tomas! Way worse then anything I have lived through before.

My Sister lives in Gorran, 2 miles from Mevagissey, and both my neices live in Meva, no one was hurt badly, and some of the pictures show the flooded cafes making burgers and coffee for the emergency services. The flooding occurred in the village by the sea, it is the mess it brings out the true comaradary of people, sod health and safety and stupid rules.
