I have received an email from a gentleman who wishes to pay some money into my bank account on behalf of a deceased relative, naturally he needs to know that I am a responsible person and how the land lies, so he asks me to...........

"Please tell me more about the political stability in your country and how safe it is to invest in your country."

I will be waiting for your urgent response to my private E-mail: mrmichaelvan@voila.fr

What should I tell him folks and should I take the money?

Do you know him personally?

If not, why should a stranger be asking YOU?

Don't go near it. How is he going to put money in your bank account without you giving him all your details, then you're stuffed. Call his bluff and say you only deal in cash, so ask for a money order from him.

Well I had one this morning from this same person which I have now duly deleted but here is the text:

Dear friend, i am mr michael van, manager auditing & accounting section Bank of Africa. It's my urgent need for a reliable and reputable person that made me to contact you for this business which involves transfer of huge sum of money to a foreign account. I need your urgent assistance in transferring the sum of ($11.5 million USD) into your account.

I need a foreign partner who will support me because i cannot claim this money without a foreign partner since the deceased client (the owner of the fund) was a foreigner. I agreed that 40% of this money will be for you as a respect to the provision of a foriegn account and I want to assure you that this transaction is absolutely legal and risk free since i works in this bank. Before we proceed, i would like to know your ability to handle this over there in your country. Please tell me more about the political stability in your

It's ok folks, I know it's a scam that has been about for years, I just wondered what answer other people would give to his question.

Delete it and forget about it, I had the same thing sent to my work email address about six times by the same person, that a distant family member had left me some money, only problems was that they used the name most people know me by , and what also appears on my sig block for that reason, and family members would never use or be even aware of it in most case,s

I know you know it is a scam but here is my story.......We advertised a Nissan 4 x 4 in the paper and had loads of emails from important business men that couldnt come to view the vehicle but of of course it was just what they wanted, colour, model etc. They were going to send us a bankers draft and make ir out for alot more than we asked for....then they wanted us to organize the export of the car .....Of course the bankers draft would have been a forgery and the car would have been for drug distribution and it would still have been in our name!!!! These emails got quite nasty when we ignored them.......so beware loads of scams going on out there, as someone else said on here if you smell something fishy then it probably is..............

string him along.

play the game with him,it can be quite good fun if you have a little free time to compose some good emails.

When you think its all getting closer, ask him if there is any chance of a advance of the money as your monkey need to go to the vet and with it being a exotic animal, you only need 200k advance, tell him you wish to invest some of his money in a zoo,is he agreeable.

If he agrees,as him when he is going to arrive in england to be 1 of the monkeys.

See how his emails change.

it is really so funny
