We are thinking of downsizing our vehicle from a Pajero to something lighter but still suitable to cope with our rough and steep in parts road. Anyone got any suggestions? We want to pay less road tax, preferably petrol driven and reasonably economical.

We are coming out on 10th September so would like some ideas before we arrive.

Thank you

Don't know the weight of your Pajero but we have a Subaru Forester weighing in at approx 1200kg. It is like an estate car but slightly higher off the ground and is permanent 4-wheel drive, 2ltr petrol engine, manual gearbox. It is excellent for climbing hills and negotiating this kind of rough terrain and we are very pleased with it. Plenty of room in the back for the dog too. We bought ours at M Haci Ali but I know that Tasas also import them.
