Is anyone organising the Christmas Present collection for the SOS this year? We are having Christmas Carols around the tree with the Ozankids, there will be Mulled wine and mince pies following our Cooks Market on Wednesday 22nd and I thought it might be useful for collecting presents for the charity.

Hi Lilli thats great - would you like us to offer people the opportunity to drop stuff off here at the Bookshop? If so can you tell me the ages and price range please with some ideas of what they like.

its so heart warming that so many brits have had the stuffing kicked out of them in the TRNC, but still find it in their hearts to help others less fortunate than themselves.............

Ibrahim The SOS is the childrens village. Its the orphanage. The children from there and the out reach scheme that is where the children still live with parents, whom are vunerable. that is who we collect for. Teresa will perhaps give more details. Its done every year and the joy on the faces is priceless. You can goggle SOS, it will give you all the details of the work they do worldwide x

IbrahimAbi the SOS is an international childrens organisation where they care for orphaned or abandoned children and even children that can no longer be looked after by their parents. The project who we collect the presents for are families that are looked after by the SOS. They are given help and support to see them through their problems and hopefully keep the children as part of the family. These are very poor people and the kids dont get many treats unless they are donated so we try to put a smile on their faces at least once a year.

If anyone wants to confirm with the SOS that we are collecting for them then please call Nuket who is the project co ordinator on 053308327411, She will also be able to provide any further information regarding her project and the families who are being helped.

As i said before we are looking for gifts approx 20Tl Wrapped with a label stating whether it is for a girl or boy and the age range.
