Bloody hell.....yrret...what's your name? My fingers got a little burnt by the nails, where i couldn't get the cement out, but they're ok now.

when you are laying glass blocks, there are spacers you fit in the corners to get the joints correct, make sure you use these.

Against the wall, screw a piece of wood as a vertical guide.

It's also worth considering laying a small diameter piece of re-bar across every 3rd row, but make sure you paint it first with a descent paint to reduce rusting.
