yrret,

I didn't know there was an English word called batsalli?

That's what the dictionary came up with.

You will not find that in any dictionary. I think its a local word which means mixed colours and it is usually used as "Batsalli yılan", yılan is snake and thus "Batsalli yılan" is a local type of small snake and I believe its deaf but poisonous.

PS: Which address do I send my bill?

Ismet

Batsalli yilan is not the blunt-nosed viper (Vipera Lebetina) which some people call deaf snake...

Batsalli is The Montpellier snake (Malpolon monspessu lanus)
