Just over a week ago a stunning young male pointer appeared in our lane. He's white with black markings,a few tan freckles on his face and quite a short tail. He's wearing a thick blue/grey collar and is very friendly. Best case scenario is some loving owner is searching for him, please if you know this dog ring or Email me to reunite him with his owner.Worst case he's been dumped because he didn't meet approval as a gun dog,he understands Turkish but not English, less than a year old and stunning in looks and temperament.

I know he's one of many, but please ask around, see if anyone can open their hearts and homes to him. Apart from a recent wound,i think from barbed wire,by his rear thigh and i'm treating,he is healthy and has been well fed and cared for, please please help prevent him becoming another sad reject. He's living in lemon grove for now, being fed and watered but this is not ideal with winter approaching, and there have been poisonings in our area ,please help tel/8758849

Hi, if you take him to a vet he can be checked to see if he is microchipped which would give the details of the owners

Lilli, we had our dog done at the dog show last year. So they must have a way of reading them surely.

Micro chips can be read here. My dog was chipped at the vets in alsancak and from memory you can either take the dog to the vets or the police station and they will read chip within!

Jen my friends dog has returned. You know yesterday a beautiful little brown pointer turned up in my garden. My landlord was here at the time so I couldnt feed it. Also my staffi was on the patio , I was so scared if the dog came close he may go for it. In the end we took it with food to Camelot, where there are a few homes. that brook my heart. Today my landlord was here from 7am cleaning the pool, we got back at 3.30 and the gate was closed. I asked him why colose it, my dogs are secure , you are here . You have another little visitor, me thinking it was the same as yesterday what have you done with him. His reply it wasnt the same dog i threw stones and water until it left, and shut the gate. The minute he left that little one came back. My guess now the hunters have let them free. In the restaurant its safe but my home never as my staffi will have them. i live in fear x

Message 14 Lillie

Lillie,my neighbours appreciate you do a sterling job looking after all these poor abandoned animals but please please do not bring any more to Camelot .We are inundated with dogs and cats already, most of us feeding them just like you but are finding it very hard.We seem to be "The dumping ground" for animals around Alsancak and to be honest it's becoming a nightmare.Dogs on the run during the night we are all going slowly mad with having no sleep.

We are all animal lovers and help where we can but please no more at Camelot. Please do not be offended ,this appeal is not meant to upset you.

chinaeyes, this is the only one i have. I am very sorry I had no idea of your problems. I was just so scared for him as he was terrified.I hate the main road.I have been a dumping ground all week , every day one or two in the garden. I am not offended just so very sorry I added to your problems. x

Mess.19

Thank you Lillie,no need to apoligise.

I would like to warn anyone thats taking a walk with children around Camelot, beach end ,to be aware of the Alsatian [facing the plastic greenhouses].Last night whilst it's owner had the gate open to let the car in, it went for my husband and I.My husband's leg has teeth marks, luckily the dog obeyed it's owner and let go.

My husband had the sense just to stand quietly for those few seconds but had it been me .................

Hi Lilli

it's defo not this one you've been feeding,he doesn't have a limp,wound is healing nicely,and he hasn't left this area,he's too well fed i think ;-)

Do know someone at Sempati has lost a young hunting dog,we had a call from them this morning after they'd seen our "Colin" in Cyprus Today, unfortunately it wasn't him :-(

If you see your stray again try calling him "Oscar",thats the name of the one missing from Sempati and apparently he looks similar to "Colin"

Jen x
