I cross ocean, poor and broke. Take bus, see employment folk.

Nice man treat me good in there.Say I need to see welfare.

Welfare say, 'You come no more, we send cash right to your door.'

Welfare cheques - they make you wealthy! NHS - it keep you healthy!



By and by, I get plenty money.

Thanks to you, you British dummy!

Write to friends in motherland.

Tell them 'come fast as you can.'



They come in turbans and Ford trucks,

And buy big house with welfare bucks!

They come here, we live together.

More welfare cheques, it gets better!



Fourteen families, they moving in,

but neighbour's patience wearing thin.

Finally, British guy moves away.

Now I buy his house,then I say,

'Find more immigrants for house to rent.'

And in the yard I put a tent.

Everything is very good,

and soon we own the neighbourhood



We have hobby, it's called breeding. Welfare pay for baby feeding.

Kids need dentist? Wives need pills? We get free! We got no bills!

British crazy! They work all year, to keep the welfare running here.

We think UK darn good place.

Too darn good for British race!

If they no like us, they can scram. Got lots of room in Afghanistan !

Simbas, Don't talk rubbish. Most would laugh because it's almost true. If not why are there almost 100 illegals to every legal immigrant. ( current home office statistics...real number unknown except to the chosen few who are petrified to say )

Hey Good Joke, up to the standards of the British Humour. But, end of the day, it is racist, no matter what the argument is, my friend. If you want to blame anyone for the illegal immigrants or asylum seekers, it should be the UK government for having policies that let these people stay rather than putting them on a plane and sending them back home.

But again, there are two sides to this as well. When the British empire were the colonial rulers of many countries, imagine how the native popullation felt! Not only did you lot settle down willy nilly, you also ruled the whole country under your own terms, not to mention the utter chaos you caused when you left. As they say, what goes around, comes around.

If you are displeased about the issue, protest and make petitions against policies of your government. Don't make racist comments as it is not fair. Let's see how many here take this in a positive note!!!!

Indian,i think it is about time the white british of today are not blamed for the past,should we still hold a grudge against the germans for what hitler done,i could go on naming leaders,but i would hope you see my point.

If a genuine asylum seeker flees their country for whatever reason, they are going to try to get to the nearest safe country. Why then do some trek halfway across Europe to get to UK, anything to do with the good benefits system here?



I work in the tobacco kiosk at a branch of one of the big 4 supermarkets. You would not believe the number of 'impoverished and destitute' asylum seekers who come and spend hundreds of pounds of their food vouchers on phone top-ups and packs of cigarettes, probably to sell on to get hard cash.

I suppose it does'nt legitimise the racialist undertones in the poem, but it does justify some of the content.

I agree with simbas & Wyn. It's bit of a generalisation! Talking of immigrants, illegal or otherwise, how many Brits are here in the TRNC?! I'm a Brit, I live here, so I guess that makes me an immigrant!

We should thank the British people for there warm hearted wecome they have given to our Aisian and Black brothers and sisters to thier country, there benifit system is the best in the world and if it was'nt for this kind contribution of benifits, many buisinesses in India and Pakistan would be hard pressed.

Next time you see a brit in the street thank them and give them a thousand blessings, racisim does'nt matter while we are enjoying the benifits from there country.
