Hi Sam

Maybe we could help @ Midsummer House Restaurant. On both days we have special set menus to suit the occasion. We also have live music ( inc.xmas songs) with Easy G ,with grand interiors & grounds and dedicated staff would make a perfect venue for your guests.

However. Xmas lunch which is served at 1.00 pm is almost full but a few tables. We do have a second sitting at 7.00 pm ( with live music also ) for which we`ve started taking bookings.

For further enquiries Tel : 0533 8762828 or 0392 8244879

Regards

Erdin

Hiya Sam,

The Mountain View Hotel in Karaoglanoglu puts on a great Christmas and New Year do every year. For christmas eve/day this year they have two DJs to go with with their tradional christmas lunch. Sue(the owner) always makes sure that everyone is happy and things run smoothly. Sue's number is (+90)533-848-5115.

Kind regards,

Andrea

For fine dining in a beautiful , tranquil setting , Midsummer House cannot be faulted. Had we not planned to go to the UK for Christmas , this would have been our first choice for lunch, but we HAVE booked for New Year's Eve.

Yes, I'm sure a lot of other places will be " livelier " but Midsummer House is a class act to follow !!

Hi Sam, I can definately vouch for the Mountain View hotel, 'christmas specials'. I have stayed there for the last 4 years and each one has been better than the last. For this years Christma Eve, they are putting on a luxury buffet with 3 hours of free drinks and a DJ who will liven up the evening with some great disco music.

On Christmas day there is a full, traditional xmas lunch with Christmas carols and songs - and in the evening there is a buffet with free drinks - and for your entertainment, a well known local singer, plus a DJ to keep the party spirit going.

If you are looking for somewhere with a lively atmosphere, then this is the place to spend your Christmas.

Also very good entertainment.

Hi Samblaney - Sweetwater Bay is between Essentepe and Tatlisu - basically they are out in the middle of nowhere. To get from sweetwater Bay to Girne town centre (Kyrenia) it is about 35 minutes in the car (25 to 27 miles). The Mountain View hotel is just about 2 miles on the opposite side of Girne. No matter where you go from Sweetwater, it is still a longish journey, even to Catalkoy which is just outside Girne and that is about 23 miles from Sweetwater.

If you want directions to the Mountain View let me know - it's really easy to find.

Go through Girne towards Karaoglanoglu - go past the Lemar supermarket on your left - after another half mile go past the Tempo supermarket on your right - just after Tempo on the right, you will see the Bektas supermarket - about 150 meteres past Bektas, turn right between the Carpententers restaurant and Mountain View hotel signs - go for about 250 to 300 metres towards the sea - the road the road will turn left and left again (horseshoe fashion) and come back to the small crossroads - at the cross roads turn right for about 30 metres past some houses and then turn left and you will be in front of the Mountain View hotel.

Sam I can vouch for Mountainview its a lovely atmosphere there and Sue and Serdar are a lovely couple as are their boys. They all looked after us when we stayed and nothing is too much trouble. We always try and pop in when we are over.

If your guests want closer places to Sweetwaterbay to eat on other days of their stay then suggest Stevies bar, Jashans, Esentepe Villa Hotel, Moulos Inn, Bar B, Sinya.

Hi everybody, I am apologizing on the behalf of the Mountain View Hotel as a very big mistake has been made on the Christmas package deals which we have advertised to the users of Cyprus 44 as well as on our ads in the paper and even on our website http://www.mountainviewcyprus.com. The prices for the packages have been announced as per person per night when in actual fact it is only Per Person, NOT PER NIGHT!

Here is the correct list for the Christmas Packages:

Mountain View Hotel Christmas Specials..........

3 Night package arrive 24th and depart 27th £135.00 pp

2 Night package arrive 24th and depart 26th £99.00 pp

Christmas Day only (no accommodation) £40.00 pp

Christmas Eve only (no accommodation) £25.00 pp

Sorry for any inconveniences. For any more information please call Sue on 00905338485115 or the Hotel itself on 00903928223454/53. Thankyou.
