DOPI Channels back up and running.....!

Spoke to Namek a couple of days ago and he assured us that most of the channels that have not been working recently would be up and running this week. We have been receiving a subset of the channels for most of the time recently but tonight the channels, like BBC Lifestyle, Sky News, Show Movies etc, Show Sports etc seem to be working fine. We understood from our chat with Namek that he is changing his satellite provider from Italian to German within the next week or so, which will require the box going in back for reprogramming and should sort out some of the latency (freezing) problems we have encountered over the last year or so. Anyway we are quite positive about this and are keeping our fingers crossed. As far as we can see it is our best option and we would like to keep it going if at all possible. So all of you who want this to work, keep the faith!!!!

Lets hope that the proof of the pudding is in the eating. Despite the let downs we arevery much hoping that all will be OK so our glass is still just about "half full"..........

This is an interesting development as members have been receiving emails from within 'TRNC' telling them that Dopi and other card sharing pirates will NOT be able to supply Showtime stuff

The email goes own to suggest a limit of 50 lucky people will get sorted before Christmas and that they also do the 'official ADMC HD Humax Receiver' - that's Abu Dhabi Media Co and a VERY healthy mark up over what the official rate is..



Members should be aware - that - just like SKY - there are no official dealers and the packages Showtime / Abu Dhabi TV haven't got the rights to be shown in Cyprus ..



So BE CAREFUL about paying for something you might not be able to receive with renewal time comes around.

This is the Abu Dhabi TV thingy I refer to... you aren't REALLY supposed to have it in CY - it comes with the first years subscription - and the acid test is - will you get it NEXT year?

Our dopi is back on . Just a few glitches . our Subscription is due in march.

I will see how it is at that time and will only offer to pay monthly which i think is fair given the past.

surely the only sensible way to go for dopi

Well it is back one at the moment,might be worth while having a sweep stake (money donated to charity)

as to how long it will last !!

I rather suspect that a lot of renewals are due shortly,and this is the reason it suddenly been fixed after weeks of problems.

I argued for paying monthly or quarterly but they absolutely won't do it. What does that tell you. If they really had any confidence in their system theywould surely agree to stage payments and keep their customers.

Don't touch them despite their usual assurances which are worth nowt.
