Arrry;

I may be wrong but aren't FC Sheffield the worlds oldest club?

and if so how can they have risen from the ashes?

Scoop you are right but i really meant they have been in the shadows of Wednesday and United . When the F A Cup comes along all these " small " teams come to light and i think it's brilliant for FC United and FC Wimbledon etc to get a good bit of publicity .Unfortunately FC Wimbledon got beat by Stevenage but FC United almost got to the next round but were pegged back to 1-1 , after having a man sent off . The beauty of the F A Cup !!

Great result for F.C.United of Manchester.Brighton were awarded a penalty six minutes into injury time, fortunateley Uniteds goalkeeper Sam Ashton saved it.United of Manchester will go into tomorrow nights 3rd round draw, which will take place @ 6p.m.

quite amazing when they are having such a poor season in the unibond and are out of fa trophy. After a number of promotions they are established in the unibond premier. attendances still very good at over 2000 on average. they have certainly brought alot of much needed revenue to clubs they have visited

read alot of good things about how much community work the club is involved in and it is still supporter run.

I have been to a few of their away games at lancaster and kendal and they brought about 800 fans. they sing all the way through the games and certainly liven the place up. some quite humourous songs.

they play at kendal boxing day so hope to see that game.

Good post Dave 12,

Spot on with your comments.I have been following their progress for the five years that

they have been on the go.Still go to some "big united" games, but only away from Old Traff.

The Glazers are tearing the soul out of Man u.Great to see Berbs bag five yesterday though.

F.C United of Manchester will play Pompey in the third round,if they can beat Brighton in

the replay at at Gigg Lane,a week on Wednesday. No fairy tale home draw against "big

United".But still more money in the coffers,

Paul.

Its started already.United of Manchester asked for 2,000 tickets for the game but Brighton would only allocate 894.There was lodads of empty spaces in the ground.I reckon United could have sold 4,000 no problem,

What a tremendous achievement this is.Brighton currently sit 112 places above the minnows from Manchester,

Not at all Bill, the dream is very much alive. The cup run has kick started F.C.United,after a worrying few months, due to finances. If the club never recieved another penny, they now have enough money in the coffers for two years.Although they are now third from bottom of the Evo Stick league, they have many games in hand, due to their cup run.The dream started in 2005,and is very much alive Bill,

Paul.
