We have oleanders growing in the back garden, we no longer want all of them and wonder if there are any ways to poison them. We do not have to worry too much about the surrounding plants.

Hello, I know this may seem crazy, but I want some Oleander, I know they are invasive, but I want to put them in large pots, on an area that is concreted, I know this does not help you but it may help me, to gain some privacy.

Fairly simple-Cut them down leaving the stump drill a number of holes. fill the holes with a cocktail of SBK and roundup. Seal holes with placticine.

It will work.

The other thing you may try is systemic herbicide called Crenite.

Good advice Hippo, we used to do similar to get rid of Rhododendron, and it worked.

James, I do not have any small oleander but do have new shoots growing out of existing oleander, don,t know if you put them in pots if they would grow or not, also have some seed pods which you are welcome to have. Thanks Phil.

Worth remembering that almost the whole plant is poisonous.

Not one for the kiddies!
