Most supermarkets have the English brands. On West side try Ileli, on East side Erdener or Supreme.

be careful of the local one, it has loads of starch in and tastes horrid.............pay a bit more and get the english one, or go over the boarder to Debenhams they have it there.....

You can find it here in Supreme or Erderner in the East, in Turkish it is Pudra Sekeri and is fine for most uses, never made icing with it though, think it is mainly for dusting.

My wife tried the local icing sugar for making icing and it was not successful, Brit made icing is available in Tempo, as previously stated the local "icing sugar" is more for dusting.

It was on offer in Supreme for about half the usual price - SIlver Spoon brand I think. Maybe worth checking out as UK brand icing sugar is quite expensive. The local stuff is quite "gritty" but is OK if you're making a frosting type of covering for a cake.
