Hi,

Is it me or are the tone of some of the postings on the board becoming aggressive and hostile. We are all entitled to our opinion and we may not always agree with other people but is there any need for things to become personal and abusive. In some cases postings are downright unpleasant and unecessary, they serve no purpose at all and really only belittle the person who posted them. I do think that some of the recent postings, by some new members, have been for no other reason than to meet their own agenda, they certainly haven,t contributed to this forum and I personally can,t see the point of them.

I,m sorry if I,ve gone on but can we try to lighten up a bit and show respect and compassion for others, we need to treat every day as though it is our last, because one day we,ll be right.

Is it not better to HELP people if you can rather the knock bitch and pull people down?



I for one try to help where I can, still like the banter but I notice the knockers very very rarely have help to offer.

I was just saying this to the girls at the WRI. At our age we don't know whether the stress of this internetty thingy will be the death of us. My best friend Mabel now spends half her time looking up a dictionary after reading some of the "podcast threadies", whatever they are.

Hattikins - I totally agree - I was only thinking about posting something similar yesterday.I look at the forums to learn about Cyprus and end up reading what looks like a script from Big Brother... and it is just depressing. I guess some people like to make themselves feel better by putting others down. Sad fact that wherever you are and wherever you go they are always about- have learnt over the years that reaction is what they feed on so I try very very hard not to. Doesnt always work though! Wyn Little Nige et al some of your banter has me in stitches and missing work deadlines !!!!

we went through something like this some months ago , i dare say we will ride the storm out again , and the regular genuine posters will remain loyal to the forum , but the imbeciles who are hell bent on causing the trouble , will be long gone , bless them ! { well someone has to } fancy going through life with all that anger and bitterness , cant be nice for them , can it ?

Unfortunately there are perhaps half a dozen trolls/troublemakers that frequent the TRNC BBs, who are unable to control the tone of their postings.



Unfortunately, selective moderation seems to be the only way to make a BB a pleasant place for the majority of members.



No doubt the half dozen will soon be popping up on this thread

By the way, did you know that at Weight Watchers the more generous your weight the more "points" you can have, think how many effing efes you could have on that diet.

Finished Pike baiting, for now! Never liked fishing. Could'nt bear to take the hooks out.

enjoy the social side where people can share jokes and light hearted banter.



Sometimes I cannot believe some of the ridiculous threads people post and get dozens of



responses. It is amazing what amuses and titillates some people.



I also enjoy trying to work out what makes people tick. You can only discover this through



conversation or the written word.



I guess it takes all sorts. It would'nt do if we were all the same I suppose.

one or maybe two people on this board have continually made attacks by way of inuendo and subterfuge on certain individuals and a couple of reputable companies and I for one will not stand idly by and allow it but you are right of course hattikins it is so belittling, especially for the perpetrator of the attacks, but it is really becoming tiresome and methinks the majority of board members are wise to their agenda by now, so I think I will resile from the rhetoric in the meanwhile and watch and record.
