Hi All, There are a few of us still collecting leftover fruit and veg from a couple of Supermarkets but the amount is getting smaller and somedays there is nothing. So PLEASE could we ask you all, that they love any leftover fruit/veg especially potatoes, stale bread and grass cuttings (all these they have eaten over the last 5 years with NO ill effect) that you may have and take it when passing. They also LOVE to have their ears scratched and Eeyore the male donkey likes to be talked too. Also the last baby donkey is due to be born around Christmas (as Eeyore was castrated earlier this year) so keep a look out for him/her - this will take the family to 7.

There will also be a Quiz night in aid of funds for food Hay/Straw etc., at the Mambo Bar,Alsancak in mid-December so PLEASE come along and help to keep our donkeys well fed.

Hi Doggie,do we just throw the stuff over the fence or do you want us to give it to someone ?

You can either throw it over or feed them by hand if they are around, but please take off any elastic bands that food comes wrapped in from Supermarkets. And many thanks Roisin

You guys do a great job - we always throw over our left over veggie peelings etc but weren't aware bread was ok too - we always have plenty of that! Will try to be more vigilant with it. Do keep us posted with the date of the Quiz night. We live just behind the enclosure so pass it daily. Thank you for your care of these lovely animals. Some might say it's a thankless task but I'm sure your reward will be in heaven!!! ;)

Just to let you all know the Quiz in aid of the Donkeys is on Friday 17th December starting at 7.30pm at the Mambo Bar, so PLEASE come along and help us to raise funds for Grain and Fodder hope to see you there.
