I bought a Heston Blumenthall christmas pud a week or so ago, (the one with the whole crystalized orange in it) Now I hear that they are selling on ebay for anything up to 200 pounds.........Do I sell it or do we simply eat it and enjoy it on Christmas day???? what would you do??

The problem with eating it is that eventually it will be flushed down the toilet, what a waste. I would sell it and get something else you can't flush.

yenibob, if I had bought 2 I would sel 1, however having bought 1 I would just sit back and enjoy it with freinds and family. As to lending you 1000 pounds well I might, depends on what the repayments are

I gotta say, I am not all that fond of xmas puddings. Even if I were though, I can't imagine any of them being worth 200 pounds. Sell it, buy another, distribute gifts worth the diference to your family. I'm sure they'll enjoy it more than a candied orange and brandy flavored cake, so long as you pick meaningful gifts.

If it's worth a lot of money then sell it. Use this link on the Daily Telegraph Lifestyle page to see how to make the pudding yourself. Happy cooking!
