Just wondered if there would be any interest in having a Whist Drive evening in the Esentepe area,maybe on a monthly basis. Any comments please post.

Obiously we are too far from you, in Lapta, but we would be more than happy to host an afternoon Whist Drive. Currently we have Bingo on Mondays and Dominos on Fridays, so Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday would be available should anyone be interested. i think a minimum of 4 tables (16 people) is really the minimum to make a drive worth while (used to play as a child in a regular village whist drive - really great fun)

For all those people interested in taking part in a whist drive we will have an introductory night next Monday night, 13th Dec, in Magic Bar.

The bar is located in Carrington's site which is approx 1.5 km past Turtle Bay. Just past Mardo's and new supermarket turn left in through the 'Arches', take the first turn on the right, then turn left at the bottom of the road and after about 100 meters you will see a sign for the Magic Bar, it's in the middle of Carrington's site.



If it suits everyone we will set the time at 7.30 for 8.00 p.m.



I hope as many people as possible can come on the night, a lot of people seem to be complete beginners or have not played for a long time, so please encourage your friends to come along as it is intended to be a fun night with some card playing thrown in.

First Whist Drive took place last night in Magic Bar. There was a very good turn out and I think everyone enjoyed the card playing and the social gathering.



The next one will take place in the same venue on January 10th and perhaps every two weeks then.



I will post a reminder closer to the time.
